National Chairperson of the Convention People’s Party, Ms. SamiaYaaba Nkrumah, says the neglect of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s plans is hampering the country’s development.
She noted that the current leaders have failed to adopt the good plans that Dr. Kwame Nkrumah started, adding that if Ghana had pursued the development that Dr. Nkrumah and his colleagues launched in 1963, the country would have boasted of full sugar factory.
Ms. Nkrumah said this at the launch of the party’s electronic data base registration in Koforidua where the CPP party members in the Eastern region were registered on the new electronic data base.
Ms. Nkrumah indicated that the new data base management system is a new way the party has adopted to organize its members using the best means of communication.
“For the party to come to power in 2016, we need to be self-mobilized and reorganized in a different manner”, she said.
She added that organization does not just mean getting few people around and giving out money.
According to her, the mission of the party is to finish the unfinished business of Dr. Nkrumah which is the freedom from poverty, freedom to create wealth and freedom to control resources and the economy.
This, she said can be done with a different mindset, adding further that “if one approaches politics with the mindset of gaining money, it would be the attitude of the fellow when he or she  wins power eventually”.
Ms. Nkrumah advised the general public to have confidence in themselves to achieve their aims in developing the country.
“God in his own wisdom has blessed the country with natural resources to be utilized” she asserted.
Ms. Nkrumah therefore urged the public to change their attitude and use the knowledge God has given them to produce their own goods.
